How to Use IPTV Apps on Android

Add a playlist and start watching IPTV on Android with free, official players.

1. Choose a player

For phones and tablets, the best free options are VLC (simple, opens M3U) and IPTV Smarters Pro (nicer TV-style layout with EPG). Browse all Android IPTV apps.

2. Get a playlist URL

You need an M3U playlist URL (for example from a source you are authorized to use) or Xtream login details:

  • M3U URL: a link ending in .m3u or .m3u8.
  • Xtream: a server, username, and password.

3. Add the playlist

  1. Open the app and find Add Playlist or Login.
  2. Paste your M3U URL or Xtream details.
  3. Save and let the app load the channels.

4. Add EPG (optional)

If you have an EPG (XMLTV) URL, most apps let you add it in the same playlist settings so you see program guide data.

5. Watch and manage

Use the Live TV tab for channels, plus favorites and search to organize. If a channel buffers, check your connection or the source rather than the app.

Install from official sources only. Download apps from the Google Play listing or the official developer website. Never install modified APKs.
